AAAIP Organization Dedicated to the Animal Human Connection.

The Association of Animal-Assisted Intervention Professionals (AAAIP) will be a professional home for health care providers, educators, and others to gain the knowledge needed to practice animal-assisted interventions while advancing the field safely and ethically.

Inspired by a gap in services and based on in-depth market analysis, AAAIP is being built on an approach to meet the field where it is while facilitating advancements as the field and AAAIP grow.

Professionals who will be interested in AAAIP membership:

  • ·Professionals wishing to practice AAI.
  • Trainers or behaviorists involved in the training of therapy animals.
  • Researchers investigating AAI.

AAAIP will offer the following services to its members:

  • Education: online courses, webinars, conferences, and more.
  • Connection: pathways for emerging AAI professionals to get started and opportunities for field leaders to share their knowledge.
  • Resources: publications, handouts, template documents, and more.
  • Community: robust online community and additional opportunities for special networking initiatives.
  • Research: means for staying up-to-date on empirical advancements and invitations to contribute to continued investigation.

How to start your own Animal Assisted Intervention Program

  • You are a Superintendent, Administrator or Teacher in Education looking to implement a program that will bridge the gaps identified in your school community due to the pandemic
  • You are a Mental Health Provider or Health Care Professional who is looking to add that extra special strategy to your practice
  • You are a Parent or Advocate that knows someone that is in stress, is having difficulty adapting to change, at risk of depression, addiction or struggling with inter-personal relationships.
  • Colleges and Universities supporting students transitioning back to in person learning.
